Julie & Maurizio’s Grand Italian Wedding in Toronto
This wedding was a serious production effort involving a team of 7 people from VIA and many late nights of preparation (more on that later!). There were 3 photographers (one of which came out to assist because he really wanted to be a part of the wedding experience), a video director, 2 video men, and 1 general assistant. With so many of us we took extra measures to ensure we didn’t stand out or get in each other’s way.

Edyta & Tony’s Indian Hindu – Polish Fusion Wedding
Edyta and Tony had heard about me from a friend and came to my studio a few months before their wedding. I expected a European couple and was surprised to find that Tony was Hindu and Edtya was Polish. They had a lot of things to figure out – traditions and cultures from two different families, logistics of family and friends from abroad, and of course the usual wedding ceremony locations, banquet hall, etc.

Grace & Virj’s Destination Wedding at Grand Iberostar, Mayan Riviera, Mexico
We began the journey at the airport where we purposely matched our flights. What I love most about destination weddings (besides the luxurious accommodations and meals of course) is that there are opportunities throughout the whole trip to take photos. It’s like capturing the story of a wedding in a totally different environment and being able to tell it in its entirety.

Julie & Maurizio’s Billboard Ad Photo at their Wedding Reception in Toronto
When Julie & Maurizio approached me to shoot their wedding, one of their requirements was a large print to be displayed at their wedding reception. They had seen a really cool magazine print that I did for one of their friends and it was important to do something as impressive (after all, a wedding is a once in a lifetime event…).

Julie & Maurizio’s Engagement Shoot
Julie and Maurizio have a wonderful chemistry. On camera they can pull off a really edgy look or be very romantic and soft.
I remember when I was planning out the photo shoot with Julie that she was really concerned about a suitable location that will give them great photos for their engagement. Eventually we settled on the Don Valley Brickworks. It’s a really great location offering so many possibilities.

Joanne & Patrick’s Chinese Wedding in Toronto
Joanne and Patrick were really great to work with. When we first met I had learned that Patrick was an avid amateur photographer who had his own digital SLR. They really liked my style of photography and decided to hire me for their entire wedding day. They also hired C.J., one of my other photographers, so that we could cover 2 locations at the same time.

Jassy & Patrick – A Wedding Fusion of Indian and Jewish Cultures
Jassy & Patrick are one of nicest couples I’ve ever met. Jassy remembered me from one of her friend’s wedding and hired me to shoot hers. Their wedding was very interesting due to the Indian Hindu and Jewish mix of cultures. Like all great couples, they knew comprimise and had a traditional Hindu ceremony with a Jewish / Polish reception.
